We’ll be getting in to the festive spirit with two brewery events coming up this November: Novemberfest and a Christmas Tap & Tour weekend at the brewery itself.
The pop-up brewery bar will be at Mold’s Novemberfest on 9th – 11th November, offering 6 Hafod beers, including Moldbreaker, our popular Pilsner-style lager on keg. All information including tickets and the live music lineup can be found on the Novemberfest website: http://moldnovemberfest.org.uk/#beers
To try the newest Hafod beers including special small-batch brews such as our rich, Trappist-style Dubbel, buy yourself a ticket to a Tap night this 23rd/24th November or Tour on the 24th November. Both Tap Nights and the Tour start and finish in our upstairs bar where you can enjoy a pint, a glass of wine and shop for the latest bottle-conditioned beer. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/hafod-brewing-company-ltd-8894209681
Next up in our festival line-up is LOGGFEST on Friday 1st June – Saturday 2nd June and it’s a first: the Hafod Brewery team and their pop-up bar will be providing the beer outside! The team is excited to be supporting another local business with very much locally brewed Welsh beer.
Friday night is FREE to get in whilst tickets for Saturday are available from We Three Loggerheads pub near Mold. Beer line-up TBA soon to go with the fantastic live bands. The newest (and soon to be revealed) seasonal beers will be on the bar so watch this space and our Facebook page:
Next up on Hafod Beer TV is a programme called ‘Digging Out’. Which can only mean something’s brewing and it’s Marvel-ous…(and Little).
No prizes for guessing that our next seasonal will be…Little Marvel blonde session beer then.
Pre-orders being taken now for trade. This little blonde is also a dead cert for our festival beer lineup this spring and summer.
9 Hop Pale is BACK for 2018 with a new mix of 9 different hop varieties! The question is: can you name them?
Hop in to your local pub and join in our Easter competition by trying a pint of our newest seasonal beer, then leave your answer as a comment on the Hafod Brewery Facebook competition post. We’ll update our Facebook page with pubs/bars that we’re delivering 9 Hop Pale to, however please check ahead with the pubs themselves to find out when the beer will be available on their bar to avoid disappointment!
The winner will be announced after the Easter weekend and will receive a mixed gift pack of Hafod bottled beers. Not sure of your hops? Try these for starters:
Happy hop hunting! #drinklocal and enjoy our lovely #welshbeer 🙂
Terms and conditions:
You must be 18 years+ to enter (and receive the prize) as the winner will receive a free Hafod gift-pack of bottled beer.
You must be able to collect your prize from the brewery at a time arranged with us (we don’t post nationwide.)
In the event of a tie-break we will pull names out of a hat – there will be one winner only.
If NOBODY guesses all 9 hops correctly we may choose to award a prize to the person with the most correct answers (because we’re nice like that.)
Employees, close friends and family of the brewery may not enter as they probably know too much about the hops already so that would be cheating 😉 !
Loads of good things being created at Hafod at the moment. Back in stock is a new batch of Clywdian Black porter, which is tasting mighty fine even if we do say so ourselves.
Ready for sale next week (wc 12th March) is this years batch of our punchy session pale ale: Nine Hop Pale. You can see the milled hops in the picture before they go into the boil.
Just ordered from the hop merchant today – a fresh batch of Hallertau Mittelfruh hops – which can mean only one thing – Hafod Pilsner! – brewing this week and then lagering in our icy cold tanks for the next 5 weeks. Should be ready for the heatwave we’ve ordered for May!
After the success of our brewery tours in December and January where we drank and talked beer with lots of lovely folk, we decided our next open weekend would include brewery tap nights as well as tours.
You can choose to take the full tour of the brewery on Saturday 1st April at 12pm or just come along and taste a range of Hafod beers at the upstairs brewery tap on Friday 31st March and April 1st from 5-9pm.
All three events will be strictly ticketed – buy yours from Eventbrite (see link) or at Mold Alehouse.
