Our diverse range of first-rate beers has been crafted in North Wales since 2011 when founder and head brewer Phill Blanchard first set out with the aim of bringing outstanding beer to the local area and beyond.
Since then, Phill has created over 50 different beers, from Iron Age ale to IPAs, all from the four ingredients you should find in good ale: malted barley, hops, water and yeast. Phill prides himself on using the best quality ingredients, not the cheapest, and the quality of the beer speaks for itself.
Hafod is a small family-run brewery based on two sites in our hometown of Mold. The original 1 barrel brewery now operates as a test bed for new brews as well as making some of our small batch beers, like Dubbel, Hammer and our Moel Fenlli Honey Ale.
Down on Gas Lane is our newer 15 barrel brewhouse, where we make our core range of beers and ever-changing seasonal brews.
You’ll find our cask and bottle beers in pubs, hotels, cafes and shops around the North-West and Wales or you can catch us at festivals and meet the brewer nights when we manage to get out of the brewery!
