HISTORY
Inspired by visits to California in 2011 and the highly bitter, yet fruity pale ales we tasted; Pilgrim is our gentler take on the style. We used the Pilgrim hop as a bittering hop to give the characteristic bitter base and finish. For the fruity aromas and taste we used the classic craft beer hop Simcoe. Simcoe adds a sweet fruit and pine aroma to Pilgrim.
The label was designed from a stained-glass window made by Phill’s Great Aunt Olive, who did like a glass of beer on a Saturday.
