Hafod is an independent, family run brewery in Mold producing an array of beautifully balanced, drinkable beers

From humble beginnings in 2011, brewing 1 barrel at a time in the Hafod Road workshop, we opened our pocket battleship 17-barrel headquarters on Gas Lane, packed full of bespoke brewkit innovation, in 2015.

Hafod creates diverse, drinkable beers always leaving you wanting one more. Our family team focus is great customer service to give you the best Hafod experience, we're proud to showcase NE Wales.

We aim to work with even more outstanding local producers to highlight the region's amazing ingredients & expanding our bottle range to include even more great beer styles.

Meet The Team

Head Brewer - Phill

Creative genius behind the beers, also the brewery's answer to the A Team's BA Baracus. He's at his happiest wrangling a new recipe into shape or welding something complicated.

Logistics - Derek

If it needs moving & shifting or cleaning, you will find Derek. A 'retired' fire officer Derek now ensures the brewery is a finely oiled machine. 

Favourite Beer: Raspberry Rye

Office - Lynn

Book-keeping, invoice administrator and queen of the cash tin. When not organising the brewery, Lynn is usually directing all the calls to the right place.

Favourite Beer: Tea

General Manager - Martin

Strategic plotter of the company. Martin is usually deep in a spreadsheet checking it all adds up. He also does brewery design work for the website & labels in his spare time.

Favourite Beer: Moel Famau 

Sales & Events - Suzanne

Running Hafod's social media, sales and events diary. Suzanne is the master of the Temporary Events Notice.
